The Sacred

People will always be people, obviously (I mean that not literally, but as the prominent and powerful start of a speech I am about to make): as long as some reputable companies keep producing quality things, there will be others that delight in copying them just for the sake of it.

Take the best blackcurrant drink that exists and will ever be made, for example (I can’t name it here but no problem, it rhymes with “Have you met my friend mysheena?”), one of the finest and most exquisite inventions that mankind is responsible for. Forget rockets, sliced-bread and all that rubbish, the thing that rhymes with mysheena is undoubtedly the best thing ever. Why? Why! So many reasons of course, too many to name here, but here are just a few: it’s thick and good quality and absolutely delicious; it’s natural, packed with sugar and therefore energy-giving to the max; it’s also got a wicked name, even if only I think so. In other words, it’s everything good in one drink, and should have won the Nobel Prize at least once…in my opinion.

And I am not the only one who thinks this to be the case. I am part of a secret society, you see, that worships the stuff that rhymes with mysheena. We meet weekly to discuss and drink copious amounts of the stuff. And the topic that inevitably always comes up is the fakers: those companies who think they can copy this sacred drink. How laughable! They think they can compete with the drink that rhymes with mysheena!

I feel sorry for them, I really do. And I hope they go out of business soon, because they don’t deserve to be in business. Leave the stuff alone I say! Let it be and let us love it!

Just a bit of news before I go, my slightly quirky boss is on this new fixation about a day of team building day london. It appears that in a couple of weeks time I will be developing lasting work based relationships with all of the people that I go to the office with. Wish me luck everyone (at least I get a free trip)!
