Them Two: What’s Your Verdict?

posted by admin in General

Everyone loves The Armstrong & Miller show, right? Yes, great humour, interesting gags and…And what, exactly? See, I’m struggling with the AND WHAT part really. Because as much as I have tuned in to them a few times and enjoyed their shows, I’m not quite sure they deserve the accolades being presently bestowed upon them…

To my mind, these two were really good about three or four years ago (about the same time that my currys discount codes started to More

Burnistoun from youtube - but any further?

Burnistoun

There are alot of good youtube videos that I have seen in the last years, and I have a clear list of favourates. The kitchen diary sketch by the beardy man was the best bit of music, I loved transformer owl that came from Japan, and the fosters advert is easily my favourate commercial. But there have been a few that have made it to TV, this is one that I think should go even further however. When will Burnistoun take its deserved place in national primetime TV? How strange it is that the BBC has at last produced a sketch show that could, with a little time, reach the heights of The Fast Show and even Harry and Paul, but consigns it to a little known corner of the iPlayer, other than for viewers in Scotland.

Starring Iain Connell and Robert Florence who have the ability for getting the most out of some terrifically funny More

Nick Helm: Keep Hold of the Gold. Review

Nick Helm has been performing stand up since 2007 and his latest full length show Keep Hold of the Gold is certain to put him well and truly on the map as a startlingly original comedian that we are bound to see much more of in the future.

A favourite of comedians and hardcore comedy fans Helm is brave, different and complicated and his hour long show reflects that to the point where some members of the audience were perhaps More

“The Rupert Pupkin Collective” are stalwarts of the impro scene and are made up of Stephen Frost, Andy Smart, Ian Coppingger, Dave Johns and Steve Steen. They have been working and improvising together for the past 30 years so I was really excited to see this group of professionals at the Gilded Balloon doing what they do best. The format was what you’d expect and was made up of various well known impro games for which the audience shouted out More

80’s Movie Flashbacks review

posted by admin in General

80’s Movie Flashbacks is a fun and irreverent sketch show, held loosely together by the question “what became of the 80s film characters that we know and love?"Think; watching a washed up super hero at home in their Wembley flats and houses for rent

It’s a silly and enjoyable show with some nice one liners thrown in here and there from a relaxed bunch of stand up comedians; Fraser, Rik Moore, & Rachel Anderson. At times the pace lagged More

It is so great to share humor with the kids

It is so great to share humor with the kids

Eddie Murphy is one of the most well known comedians ever. He still to this day is known for his hilarious specials in the eighties. He was always dressed in leather from head to toe, except for his trademark running shoes. He was rude and crude but so funny. As a child I can remember not being allowed to even hear what his special was about let alone see it. By the time More

Jeff Dunham had us laughing for days

If you have never been to see Jeff Dunham you should consider going to one of his live shows. I have never really been into prop comedy so when a friend of mine asked me to go I was very hesitant. I finally agreed to go with them and I am glad that I did. I am a huge fan of stand up comedy and I have seen a lot of live shows. Jeff Dunham’s show is definitely right up More

Will We See A Nuclear Free Middle East

The world has teetered on the brink of nuclear war a number of times in the past and once again we are in the same position. Your independent financial advisors would advise that any threat of nuclear war will certainly affect not only financial markets but also world economies. The Middle East an unstable area of the world and having a nuclear free Middle East would help in alleviating the tensions that have been ongoing for ages. But is it More
